Jr. High/High Day School Counseling
We, the GateWay Scholars Institute of Education, offer counseling services to Jr. high/high school students for whom want to study at U.S. private Jr. high or high schools. Students will receive the best education from school programs while experiencing the diverse culture of America. Living with upscale and hospitable host families and participating the various community services will ensure students being immersed in the lifestyle of local students. The unique experience at U.S. private schools will be the optimal preparation for students’ future admissions and experience at college.
We will ensure to provide the most professional high school counseling service to help each of our students throughout every step of the application process. Before we make his academic plan, we will require an entrance examination/assessment for each of our students. Then, with student’s goal of admission, his standardized test scores (like TOEFL, SSAT, SLEP…), extra-curriculum, and personal awards, we will finalize our recommended school lists for students and their parents to look through. After the school selection process, we will require students to have their personal statements, recommendation letters, transcript certifications, application forms ready for our pre-submission review. We will have our professionals to polish and review the applications and related materials prior to the submission to our partnered schools. To ensure the admissions, we will also provide mocking-interview sessions to develop students’ interviewing skills. The last but not the least, we will guide our students through the visa application process as well after successfully being admitted to their institutions.
Boarding School Counseling
We, the GateWay Scholars Institute of Education, offer counseling services to Jr. high/high school students for whom want to study at U.S. private boarding schools. The advantages of attending private boarding schools for students in America are: receiving the top academic programs, sharing the most updated educational facilities, being exposed to the rich content of group project of leadership programs, and having a group of outstanding school faculty and staff facilitating schools’ daily operation and management.

College Admission Counseling

We, the GateWay Scholars Institute of Education carefully compares and analyzes admission statistics for almost every top 100 universities in the U.S. each year, so we are more than confident to say that we can provide the most accurate and useful admission counseling for different types of needs in the application process. We will walk through each step of the college application process with our students, from school selection to application submission. Our college admission department and our senior admission counselors will review all the applications prior to submission. We will make sure each student applies to HIS “safe schools,” “target schools,” and “reach schools.”
It is an indisputable fact that the college admission is extremely competitive, and the acceptance rates of top universities are unbelievably low. Excellent academic performance in terms of GPA is not a guarantee for students being admitted to their ideal colleges. To be admitted, students must have chosen the “right” institutions and “right” majors based on students' academic background, expectations, and career interests. It is crucial for students to have a solid GPA and a concrete standardized test score (like SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS). Students’ extra-curriculum also plays a critical role in the decision of college admission because it shows students’ uniqueness, creativity, and social responsibility.
